About Copper Basin Bible Camp
Copper Basin was founded in 1977 set in the tall pine mountains above Prescott Arizona. It is a co-ed Christian camp with the capacity for 100 campers, and is affiliated with the Churches of Christ (Romans 16:16). The 80 acres of ponderosa pine forest has several ponds for fishing and canoeing and is adjacent to Prescott National Forest. The camp also has a boating, a basketball court, rope courses, zip line, softball diamond, volleyball court, outdoor chapel and pavilion, camp fire area and beautiful trails for hiking.
In the summer of 2005, Copper Basin added a new 7,000+ square foot building with additional lodging and new kitchen / dining areas (the Lodge). Additionally, the camp has a smaller multi-purpose building (The Hague), 5 cabins, 14 full-hookup RV sites, and other related amenities.
Along with the week-long summer camp sessions, CBBC also hosts various events and retreats throughout the year.
Copper Basin is a 501(c)(3) entity.
The Mission of Copper Basin Bible Camp is threefold:
- To provide a summer camp for children, in which they can grow in Christ through study of God’s word and interaction with other campers in the setting of God’s natural creation.
- To provide activities to bring together congregations from around the valley and across the state, to promote fellowship and unity among the churches of Christ.
- To provide a place for congregations of the Lord’s church to hold retreats and other meetings in a setting which is removed from the distractions of urban life.
